May 13, 2025

We have some BIG news to share! After an amazing journey as Richard Bienenfeld DDS with over 48 years of dedicated and exceptional dental care, we are beyond excited to reintroduce ourselves as Amaze Dental. It has been 8 months since the wonderful addition of Dr. Annie Mazure-Schmidt to our practice, and we could not be more excited for this transition!

Effective June 1st, 2025, our practice will officially change its name from Richard Bienenfeld, DDS to Amaze Dental.

While the name is changing, everything you’ve come to trust and love will stay the same — the same exceptional care, the same friendly team, and the same commitment to your dental health. This new name reflects our continued dedication to YOU and a constant reminder of how amazing you are to us.

Beginning June 1st, you’ll notice the new name across our website, social media, email addresses, and other materials. We’re making this transition with the same care and consideration that we brought to Dr. Bienenfeld’s retirement — ensuring everything goes smoothly for our dental community.

Why do I wake up with Headaches? Understanding Temporal Mandibular Joint (TMJ) and Temporal Mandibu
By Dr. Annie Mazure-Schmidt March 10, 2025
The Temporal Mandibular Joint (TMJ) is a vital part of your jaw that allows movement of the lower jaw. It is a hinge that connects your lower jaw to the temporal bones of your skull, located in front of your ears. This joint is essential for functions like chewing food, speaking, and other everyday activities. However, when something goes wrong with this joint or the surrounded muscles or ligaments, it can lead to a condition known as Temporal Mandibular Dysfunction (TMD), which can significantly affect your daily life. It is estimated to affect 5-12% of the general adult population, with women having 2x prevalence to men.
